Welcome to the EIS Additional Support Needs Network.
The ASN Network was established by the EIS to allow Additional Support Needs teachers from all over Scotland to share experiences, discuss common difficulties and promote the work of ASN teachers in the wider educational community.
The Network advises the Education Committee on ASN matters, which then shapes EIS policy.
At present, the Network has 16 members, attending meetings in Edinburgh three times per year.
The EIS values the work of ASN colleagues and, in this climate of budget cuts, will continue to promote and protect members with the full range of options open to it.
All EIS members who work in ASN services should make contact with their own local ASN Network member. A list of the current reps along with their email address is available below.
If you have something you would like raised at a meeting please advise your local ASN Network member who can bring this forward.
If you have any queries about the Network, please contact Grace Paton in the Education Department.
Should you wish to seek election as an ASN Network Member please contact your EIS Local Secretary.
