NOTE: The Strike Hardship Fund is intended to be used to support colleagues who are
disproportionately impacted by the cycle of strike dates - e.g. some part-time members of
staff, as a consequence of the pattern of strike days, may lose a significantly higher percentage
of their income when compared to a full-time member of staff.
It is not a daily payment for everyone on strike.
Should there be an award, payment will be made by BACS to the bank account details held on your
membership record. Information on when Strike Hardship Payments are to be made will be provided
on the Institute website
