Our Wellbeing, It Matters!

We warmly invite you to come along on Saturday 13th January, 10am-2.30pm, to the Radisson Blu, Glasgow, for a day focused on collaboratively building our workplace wellbeing, while strengthening our own.

Members from across Scotland are invited to participate in a variety of workshops that will consider wellbeing through an equalities lens, building a collective wellbeing voice, and practical tools for enhancing workplace wellbeing.  

The day will include music, wellbeing activities, information stalls, and opportunities to share your thoughts on the topic.

A choice of the following Workshops will also be offered throughout the day: 

  • Practical tools for enhancing health and wellbeing in the workplace

  • Taking care of our whole selves at work: an intersectional lens on workplace stress and wellbeing

  • Building a collective voice for wellbeing

  • Set against a background of global teacher shortages and the imperative of improving teachers’ HWB for recruitment and retention, the importance of Empowerment and a reduction in the class contact and class size to improve outcomes for children and young people and teachers.

Stand Up for Quality Education: Community Wellbeing.  Welcome and Introduction from Andrea Bradley EIS General Secretary

11.00-11.45

Education Support: Wellbeing in education.  Sinead McBrearty, Chief Executive Officer and Faye McGuinness
