The sessions will be delivered on Thursday the 27th February and 20th March, 5pm-8pm, online.
This will be a participative course, which will cover the following:
A working definition of trauma, including what can constitute trauma, e.g. bereavement, homelessness, poverty, being a young carer.
Language use around trauma.
A brief overview of some key theories underpinning trauma informed practices.
Some of the signs of trauma.
Practical tools that practitioners can employ.
An understanding of self-care, and the importance of being well to support others.
Signposting to further reading on the subject.
