Taking an Appreciative Approach to Wellbeing and Care in Education

Created on: 04 Feb 2025 | Last modified: 18 Feb 2025

Join the Open University on Friday 21st February, 1.30pm-3.30pm, online for Taking an Appreciative Approach to Wellbeing and Care in Education.

This session is for everyone working in early years, and early primary settings.

In this interactive session we will explore what we mean by care and wellbeing, shifting out attention from 'fixing' things that aren't good, to caring-with each other and our environments. This shift allows us to think about what is really important, valued and essential within our current practice and settings to our wellbeing.

We will use an Appreciative Inquiry approach to explore how these aspects that are working well for us already can be developed further to support care and wellbeing so that we all 'become ready together' to face new challenges as they arise.

At the end of the session you will have ideas about what you value and is important to your own wellbeing, some imaginings of what you want to do to develop these further, and the beginnings of some planning about how to achieve this in your setting / practice.

Please book your place via the online booking form.
