Loneliness Awareness Week runs from the 15th June – 19th June, hosted by the Marmalade Trust.
Marmalade Trust is a charity that raises awareness of loneliness and helps people to make new connections. The Trust started Loneliness Awareness Week (LAW) four years ago to raise awareness of loneliness and encourage people to speak about it openly. And this year, tackling isolation and loneliness is more important than ever before.
This year, instead of face-to-face events the Trust will host a virtual campaign called ‘One Less Lonely Voice’. The aim is to empower everyone to understand loneliness one conversation at a time.
Visit the Marmalade Trust website for ways to get involved, and resources encouraging ways to talk about loneliness. Join the conversation #LetsTalkLoneliness and let us know how you’re making connections Tweet @EISUnion or email pmccolgan@eis.org.uk.
Visit the Working at Home Resource for some ideas on making connections with those in your homes, neighbours, and people who are still that bit further away.
