The University of Strathclyde, in partnership with the EIS, offer the opportunity to participate in a ½ day course on leadership skills.
This course will offer space to discuss current experiences, and plan ways of linking learning from this course into practice back in the classroom.
This course will cover:
The definitions and distinction between leadership and management.
A range of leadership styles and their practical uses.
Building practical assertiveness skills.
Managing relationships within the workplace, and team dynamics. Including managing relationships online.
The purpose of leadership in an education setting, recognising all practitioners are leaders in different parts of their working lives.
Glasgow (in person) Friday 14th March 2025 1.15-4.15pm with lunch from 12.30-1.15pm. (REGISTER HERE)
This learning opportunity is funded by Scottish Union Learning (SUL). A requirement of funding is for participants to both live and work in Scotland.
