Exploring Community Wellbeing - Inverness course

Created on: 19 Dec 2024 | Last modified: 20 Dec 2024

Join us on Saturday 8th February, 10am-2pm, at the Spectrum Centre, Inverness, for Exploring Community Wellbeing.

Led by educational psychologist, James McTaggart, this in-person course will consider stress, wellbeing, and the workplace in our current contexts.

While individuals can do a lot to reduce their stress and build resilience to it, this is not all that is needed.  We will consider workplace and community aspects to stress, and what individuals and groups can to do improve these, or help each other cope with them.

The day involves a mix of input and opportunities to process this through discussion as well as asking questions.  Nobody will be expected or asked to talk about their own personal circumstances – instead, anonymised examples will be used as stimuli for reflection.

The day is to be delivered by Dr James McTaggart, an educational psychologist of nearly 20 years experience, with specialisms in trauma and adversity.  He has worked frequently with teachers and other education staff experiencing workplace or personal challenges and brings a compassionate and strengths-based approach to these issues.

Please book your place via the online booking form by Thursday 30th January, for organising purposes.
